Phoenix UMT systems have been successfully used in exploration for base and precious metals, oil and gas, and diamonds in over 100 countries.
Weighing about 30kg per station, Phoenix UMT systems are portable by backpack, ATV, snowmobile, or helicopter, from tundra to jungle, in any season. Simplified logistics and easy operation reduce cost, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
Active Volcanism
4D modelling of active volcanism zones is made possible with reliable, low-power Phoenix UMT systems. Scientists in the United States, New Zealand, and Japan are making effective use of MTU-5Cs in their active volcanism research, empowered by the latest generation of Phoenix equipment and the efficiency of streaming time series for easy access to real-time results
Space Weather
The Phoenix MTU-5C/8A system is the first and only AMT/MT instrument deployed to continuously monitor Space Weather signals for grid stability applications. Streaming data from the MTU-5C/8A is uploaded to a server in real-time, and can then be accessed easily. Massive on-board storage and virtually unlimited server-side storage allow extremely long acquisition periods.
